Soffit and Fascia Repair in Ojo Feliz, NM

Soffit and fascia repair restores the boards that close off your roof edge, where the fascia carries the gutter and the soffit seals the underside of the overhang. Ojo Feliz, NM Storm Damage Roof Repair handles this work across Ojo Feliz, NM.

These take a beating in storms because they sit at the perimeter, which is exactly where wind uplift concentrates. Vinyl soffit panels pop out of their channel in high wind and hang loose. Fascia boards split where gutter spikes have worked loose. Once either is open, the roof cavity is open, and that is an invitation to birds, wasps and squirrels as much as to water.

Rotted fascia is the more serious version, and it usually means a gutter has been overflowing against it for a long time. Painting over soft wood achieves nothing. We cut back to sound material and replace, then deal with whatever caused the overflow, because a new board behind a blocked gutter rots exactly like the old one did.

Vented soffit matters more than it looks. It is the intake half of your attic ventilation, and blocking or losing it causes moisture problems inside the roof that show up nowhere near the eave.
